Maximizing Your Time in Prayer

How do we maximize time in prayer? First, we need to acknowledge why we're not getting the most out of our prayer experience. One of the problems we face is nondisclosure. Nondisclosure is the failure to reveal or disclosure and bring about revelation, this is nonproductive, and it will keep you in cycles of discontentment. It is a manifestation of bondage.

Therefore, we stay bound in our situations longer than necessary because of fear, embarrassment, pride, and betrayal. Until we learn the art of being candid to get healed, the enemy will continue to have a stronghold in our lives. He loves darkness and secrets, so expose and oppose him with light or truth.

In the latter part of Philippians 4:6, it is clear that we are to let our requests be made known unto God. God will not always reveal our specific circumstance(s) to intercessors, so it's our responsibility to articulate it. Making your supplication known is a form of exercising faith. Faith is what motivated you to come on the line, now take it a step further and make your petition known to God. Stop wasting your time listening to generalizations and being frustrated with the lack of results, when you can make it plain, and we can hit the target directly in prayer, this pertains to one to one prayer, online, conference calls, or at church.

Here are other tips to help you maximize your time:

1. Utilize the inbox or send a private email request with the words confidential on it, ministries are obligated to protect your privacy. IF there is a group of people on a prayer line, then no one will know or be led to go to someone you trust.

2. Be in agreement while prayer is going on by quietly saying: in the name of Jesus, heal Lord, deliver, make the way, pray in Spirit, or Father, do it for your namesake and your glory, etc. Interact until it's your time to pray. Some lines prefer to mute people and others like to hear the agreement because it fuels the fire. I prefer to unmute but respect the request of the moderator.

3. Lay the ground work before the intercession begins such as personally *confessing, *repenting, *denouncing and setting the atmosphere. *It's important to do it before you pray for others. However, worship, praise, and thanksgiving are totally acceptable practices while engaging in prayer.

4. Take the competition out of it! Everyone is an individual, so we expect diversity especially with the gifts of the Spirit. Don't compare yourself. The job of the moderator is to make people feel comfortable and allow for room to grow. It's not in how many words you say or the use of SAT words as you pray, it's being Spirit led and sincere.

5. Be courteous. Ask people would they like to participate but don't force them. If you have a prayer line where people are allowed to pray, then make allowance. If they are not comfortable, then respect their choice. If you are one of many intercessors be considerate, then the moderator should specify the time.

6. Prophecy during prayer is common especially if you have a prophet or prophetess on the line. However, the Spirit of prophecy can move on anyone whether you are a prophet or not. When prophecy comes forth by way of tongues, there must be an interpretation. All prophecies will be judged according to the scriptures. During prayer, don't be surprised if God decides to respond back, it is something we should hope and desire.

7. The Word of Knowledge or Word of Wisdom may be stirred up on the line, and this is common. These are Gifts of the Spirit, not prophecy. It should be judged. If someone is off, just kindly confirm or deny.

8. Come on the line with a level of expectancy. According to your faith be it unto you. If you're coming on the line in the wrong spirit or with the wrong intentions, it will be discerned and dealt with in prayer. If you are coming on the line judging, spectating or spying, you're out of order, and it will be handled in prayer. However, if you come with faith and with a mind to pray, you will experience wonderful things. God will be in the midst of the two or three, so don't confuse favor with numbers.

9. Don't rush in out of his presence. Our prayer time is usually an hour well spent in prayer. However, if the Lord leads for more, we will respond appropriately. If you can't continue, just quietly remove yourself from the line. We understand, go in peace.

10. Share your experience. The more, the better because one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight. There is power in unity, and we need to come together in agreement. However, the variety in prayer times and different ministries that offer prayer can make it hard for people to choose. I encourage you to support your local church first and if you're free to join another, be Spirit led. Not all prayer lines are of God, so be prayerful and cautious.

Let Us Remember What God has Required

You will be surprised to know how many people are opposed to keeping the commandments in the 21st Century and this is unfortunate. They teach the concept of being "under the law," and this is a fallacy. To be under the law, you must break it. Law breakers are the only ones subject to the penalties, not law abiders. The devil is mad at the thought of your obedience to God. He doesn't want you to inherit the Kingdom of God. He clearly understands what is required, that's why he tempts us and then accuses us to the Father. The Bible tells us in Revelation 12:17 "that the dragon is wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keeps the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." That is full gospel, the commandments, and testimony of Jesus Christ. Jesus told the rich ruler that if he wants to enter into life, keep the commandments (Matthew 19:17). The commandments are not grievous (1 John 5:3). So remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy (Exodus 20:8).

According to Mark 2:27-28, the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. Jesus has authority over the Seventh Day, not man. Therefore we ought to remember what humanity has tried to make us forget through the teaching of the commandments of men. "For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth, therefore, rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labor, therefore, to enter into that rest, lest any man falls after the same example of unbelief" (Hebrews 4:8-11). The rest that remains is the Sabbath of rest or Sabbath Day. At the end of the day, let us do what pleases the Father and remember the day he has blessed and hallowed.

It is incumbent that we understand how to please the Father. It is true that while we were sinners, Christ died for us, but shall we continue in sin that grace may abound (Rom 5:8; 6:1)? God forbid. After accepting Jesus Christ we must live a life that is acceptable, and he has conveniently outlined that in his word. “Flee from sin as from the face of a serpent: for if thou comest too near it, it will bite thee: the teeth thereof are as the teeth of a lion, slaying the souls of men" (Ecclesiasticus 21:2). Sin is simply the transgression of the law based on 1 John 3:4. So, to keep from sinning, we must observe the law which is the commandments. When we disobey the law, we break it and become guilty of all according to James 2:10-12. As a result, our love is measured by them indicated in John 14:15. The Seventh Day or the Sabbath is the four commandment outlined in the Decalogue which is the 10 Commandments of God. It hasn't been nailed to the cross, done away, or fulfilled. HOW TO FORM A FREE OR UNINCORPORATED CHURCH

The blog is a revision of Norman Edward’s teaching on Forming a Free Church. The information highlights the importance of the church being free from a corporation status, 501(c)3, and state control.

According to Edwards (2009), in the USA, religious establishments—church congregations and associations of churches have specific protection under the Constitution: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof… (The Federal Constitution, First Amendment). Congress is prevented from making any laws giving a particular benefit to an establishment of religion, or from preventing religious institutions from freely exercising. Hence, Congress cannot require establishments of religions to be licensed, taxed or controlled by the state. That is why all of the above forms of state control over religions—corporations, associations, and IRS tax exempt status—are entities to which church organizations must voluntarily submit themselves. For a church group to remain free from state control and place itself directly under God’s control, it must legally establish its existence, apart from state control, directly under God. Such independent existence is confirmed with a declaration (as the USA was created), not by applying to an existing government. The Church Declaration represents the authority of men and women, the people who declare the congregation to exist; but it is power of 2 or 3 that are gathered together in Christ’s name following God’s teaching to form church groups (Matt 16:18-19, 18:1-4*, 15-20; 28:18-20; Acts 2:36-47; 14:21-23; 16:4-5; 20:28; Rom 16; 1 Cor 12:27-28; Gal 3:26-29; 1Tim 3; Heb 10:25)—not the authority of an admittedly secular state. Edwards continues to explain that with regards to a Church Declaration, all free religious groups must begin with a statement. A declaration can consist of:

a simple document consisting of one, but not limited to one page that gives the church name and its creation date

a brief purpose of why it was created

a short statement about how it is governed

a brief statement about the powers granted to it

a list of the people that created it.

The name of the church should explicitly include the word “church” or “congregation” and possibly other biblical words. Since a free church will not be included in civil government lists of “incorporated” or “501(c)(3) churches”, rules often make their decision about the nature of a group solely from its name. Your congregation is much more likely to be recognized as a church if its name includes words like "Church", "Congregation", "Christian", "Bible", "Missionary", "God", "Jesus", "Christ", "Lord", "Yahweh", etc. Who Signs the Declaration? Those who sign a church declaration are often referred to as “founders” or “charter members.” There is no need for a set number or even a majority of the people who attend a congregation to sign it. Those who do are simply expressing on paper their willingness to start a congregation. Congregations governed exclusively by elders often have a declaration signed only by the first elders. In congregations where the members choose their leaders, it makes sense for the original members to sign the declaration. There is no need to add or remove names from the declaration as new members or leaders come to or leave from the congregation. The declaration simply states those who founded it. Other regularly updated documents will show who represents the church congregation. For a church primarily run by elders, a list of elders is enough. If members are the primary decision makers, then the congregation should have either a membership list or rules for determining which members may participate in decision making (e.g. those who attend more than half of the church services). The success of any congregation (or any government for that matter) is determined primarily by whether the decision-makers follow God—whether they be the whole group, a few elders or one man.

The End Times: Are you prepared?

For some time now the topic regarding the "End Times" has been troubling my spirit. Many have been taught that saints or believers in Jesus Christ would not have to experience the Great Tribulation during this period or the hardship will be minor in comparison to those who believe not. Some believe that the natural disasters that will occur on the earth will only affect non-believers and the saints will be caught up or raptured to be with the Lord before the events occur. However, I have a different understanding. Most of us can admit that the signs of the return of Christ or the "End Times" are more visible than ever! Even scientist and other philosophers believe that a massive destruction will occur, it's only a matter of time. Many dates predict when these things will happen or the coming of the Lord, but Jesus said, "but of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matt 24:36). The love of many is waxing cold because of the False Prophets or false teachers, so many hearts have been hardening regarding the message of the gospel and the truth which make many receptive to lies. I think most of us can or will conclude that we are in the last days count down to the end. Will we be ready or prepared for the things to come? (NOT just spiritually ready, but naturally and emotionally prepared for the events that will take place upon the earth) I believe that Jesus shared this information with his disciples regarding the signs that will take place (Matthew 24) so that his people won't be ignorant of the things to come. Please note that the conversation occurred over 2,000 years ago and it's time to prepare for the changes in our environment, climate, finances, and freedom. The life of ease as we know it will be a distant memory. It is good to preach about prosperity, but not even money will spare us from the floods, earthquakes, war, fire, pollution of water, and food and water shortages that will plague the earth. Some will even have to flee for their very lives. Will we be ready?

If you are not a believer, then you must first believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. After that, you believe that he came, lived, and died for your sins. Make a choice to follow him, repent of your sins, and receive him into your heart. You must make a public declaration by sharing your decision to follow him, and seek to be baptized for the remission of your sins. During this time you should seek God with your whole heart and prepare to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. When you receive God's Spirit, the Holy Spirit will follow with many signs and one of which is the evidence of the speaking with other tongues, as the Spirit of God gives the utterance (Acts 2:4). Pray that the Lord lead you to a church where the Bible is being taught, lived, and preached.

Let us spread the truth as we continue to live, love, and prosper. Let us continue making the necessary preparations spiritually as well as naturally for the unfortunate events to come. Will we be ready?

Tetrad or 4 Total Lunar Eclipses=Blood Moons??? End of World?

Watch & Pray. There are prophecies concerning what many call a Tetrad or 4 total lunar eclipses that will occur beginning Passover 2014 and ending on the Feast of Tabernacles 2015. Is it the same as what the Bible call the "Blood Moon"? According to NASA (2014), a Tetrad is a series of 4 consecutive total eclipses occurring at approximately six-month intervals. A total eclipse happens when the entire Moon is shadowed. During this time the Moon appears red when light beams into the heart of Earth's shadow, filling it with a coppery glow and transforming the Moon into a great red orb. The face of the Moon turns sunset-red for up to an hour or more as the eclipse slowly unfolds. When tracking the historical phenomenon, you will discover that there were significant events that happened around the occurrences. (see chart below)

Some theologians believe that there is a correlation between the Tetrad and what the Bible call the "Blood Moon." They reference the scriptures dealing with coming of the Lord and the Blood Moon (Joel 2:31, Acts 2:20, Rev 6:12). However, I don't believe that Tetrads are the same as the "Blood Moon" mentioned in the scripture because the occurrences are way too common. I believe the passages in the Bible regarding the "Blood Moon" is way more profound regarding what will take place on that day, and it will indeed be a terrible day. When the "Blood Moon" scripture passage is fulfilled, and the events surrounding it take place, I don't believe anyone will question its authenticity. What can we possible conclude from the previous patterns formed? Will there be a significant event around the time they occur or is there potentially trouble heading our way? Heaven only knows and can reveal its significance. If it's trouble, then we must continue to pray and ask God for direction, draw closer to HIM like never before, and be ready. At the end of the day, we are getting closer and closer to the great tribulation and the return of Christ, so it behooves us to stay in the state of readiness. Father help us today.

Star of David or Hexagram?

Historically, the Jewish people were offered a symbol shape of a Hexagram called the Star of David by Viennese Jesuits in 1648 on demand of the German Emperor Ferdinand III, who wished to assign flag of honor to the Jews of Prague for their help in the Thirty Years War. After the Jews of Prague had received their flag, the hexagram began to spread in the Jewish community and was used in synagogues and during festive occasions. In fact, many rabbis vehemently opposed to the utilization of the hexagram because it was a pagan symbol. But since Mayer Rothschild adopted the hexagram to mark his house this symbol gained popularity among the Jews. Ironically, the Rothschilds do not have Jewish roots and do not practice Judaism.

In 1897 the hexagram became the symbol of the Zionist movement. Zionist movement was funded by the Rothschilds and had a relationship to Freemasonry. A Masonic book called the Second Mile reveals that “the six-pointed star is a very ancient symbol, and one of the most powerful.” This symbol is very prevalent in Freemasonry.

Today, the Six Pointed Star or Hexagram is the most popular and universally recognized symbol of Jewry. It is known as Star of David, Magen David, or the Jewish Star. Ironically, David had nothing to do with the hexagram, and it did not represent the Jewish people until the 17th century. Symbol of the Jewish has always been the Menorah. The hexagram is a very ancient symbol. It is present nearly in every culture on Earth.

In the Vedic literature, the hexagram is known as Shatkona. It is a critical symbol in Hinduism. The hexagram is a common symbol in Buddhism. It is also prevalent in Islam. In Islam, the hexagram is known as the Seal of Solomon. It was used by King Solomon as a magical signet to control demons and spirits. After his marriage to Pharaoh's daughter in 922 BC, Solomon gave himself up to witchcraft and idolatry and built altars to Moloch and Ashtoreth. So how did this ancient occult symbol find its way onto the Great Seal of the United States? Why is it so common in churches? Do you know what symbol represents Luciferianism? The truth is the so-called Star of David is also used a Satanic symbol. Satanists and occult practitioners use it for calling Satan and demons! If you examine the so-called “Star of David,” or hexagram, carefully, you will discover something astonishing. It has six points, forms six equilateral triangles, and in its interior forms a six sided hexagon — thus it reveals the number of Satan’ Antichrist beast, — 6 points, six triangles, and the six sides of the hexagram — 666 !!!

Are We There Yet? Looking for the Return of Christ & The End of World

Are we there yet? Is this the end? Looking at the current times, political theater, social events, and the natural disaster occurrences it signals many truths. Read Matthew the 24th chapter in its entirety in the King James Bible. According to Matthew 24:3, the disciples came to Jesus privately to inquire regarding the sign(s) of his return and the end of the world. Jesus initially responded by telling his disciples “let no man deceive you.” Why? The initial sign of Jesus’ imminent return is deception. The first deception is people coming on the scene claiming to be who they are not Christ. “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many” (Matt 24:5). In the text, he tells them the importance of being alert or watchful for these things or signs because they are just the beginning. Note… The chapter continues by describing the political climate, and the natural phenomenon or occurrences: hearing of wars and rumors or war, nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Anyone who has ever taken a history course certainly knows that this has been the plight of humanity since the beginning. However, the episodes Jesus alludes to are unusual, global, and catastrophic in nature and there’s a sense that the world will be knowledgeable of these series of unfortunate events. According to Matt 24:8, all these are the beginning of sorrows.

Sign of Times

Let no man deceive you! Have you heard of anyone in your lifetime proclaiming to be Christ? When researching this phenomenon, I found it interesting especially the number. In conclusion, it is 2012, let’s put things into perspective. WE ARE LOOMING TOWARDS THE END. Jesus was giving a glimpse of what the generations have seen and will experience. It is prophetic in its implementations. However, the end is more near and imminent than we think. Please understand that this conversation occurred well over two thousand years ago and the end has not come. However, the stage is set. Rom 10:9-10 says: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

These are the Feast of the Lord

Did you know that God has festivals, celebrations, and holy days? The Bible calls them feast days. Leviticus 23:4 says: “These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons” (Blueletterbible.com, 2010). In this passage of scripture, God gave specific days that he wanted his people to remember and never forget. These are the feast days mentioned in the chapter: Seventh Day Sabbath, Passover, Feast o f Unleavened Bread, First Fruits/Pentecost/Feast of Weeks, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles. These days point to and glorify God. God thought enough of the days that he establish them (The Holy Days) as a sign. Exodus 31:13 says: “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between you throughout your generations and me; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you” (Blueletterbible.com, 2010). By celebrating these days you will become sanctified or set apart by God, and it is a sign between you and He. A sign is a distinguishing mark according to the Hebrew. It is designed to make a difference between you and the rest of the world. If there was ever a question regarding who is associated with God and-and who’s not, these scriptures give us a clue.

If you love God and call yourself a follower of Christ, then strive to understand what these days are all about and compare them with the current day traditions of men. In Colossians 2:8 it says: “Beware lest any man spoils you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ” (Blueletterbible.com, 2010). That’s a power scripture and holds true for this day and age. These so called holidays that most people observe have nothing at all to do with Christ and are vain and deceptive. The whole purpose of its philosophies is to deceive you and cause you to worship other gods. Remember what it says in the ten commandments? In Exodus 20:3 it says, “that thou shalt have no other gods before me.” In conclusion: Study, study, study, and research. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (Blueletterbible.com, 2010). Don’t take my word for it, research it for yourself.

Beware of Evil Works or Practices: Tapping into the Supernatural

Today’s generation teaches tolerance and acceptance of all types of practices that are against God and his word. As the return of Christ approaches, and knowledge increase, the culture is becoming more open to all kind of satanic influences through entertainment and the social media. It is our responsibility to protect ourselves and those we love against the wiles of the devil using the whole Armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18). According to Deuteronomy 18:10-13, there SHALL NOT be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer (Blueletterbible, 2011). *See reference below for definition of terms. “For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God” (Deuteronomy 18: 10-13). Beware of evil works or practices. It is an abomination. God’s people must be very careful in these latter days not to associate or engage with these evil customs. Regardless of what the majority may think is acceptable, we must allow for God’s word (Bible) to guide us in our everyday life. Satan’s goal is to trick you out of the Kingdom of God through what most would consider trivial but very lethal to your spiritual walk. Please remember that we are in a spiritual war. The devil desires to kill us. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly” (John 10:10). Watch out for these things and don’t let it be named among you who are sanctified. Avoid the entertainment industry and the very practice found in books, movies, music, TV shows, signs & symbols, ceremonies, rituals, spells, readings, zodiac signs, seances, channeling, alter egos, demonic possession, astral projection, blood sacrifice, yoga, meditation, chanting, healing crystals, mysticism, voodoo dolls, board games, video games, secret societies, sororities, fraternities, Mason/Eastern Star, Aleister Crowley, and all Esotericism etc. Beware...A lot of these practices are also intermingled with certain religions. Don’t let anything separate you from the love of God. I pray that God gives you the understanding and please by all means research it yourself. Don't allow for any doors to be open through your involvement because it will be difficult to close, only with God it is possible. These evil practices will cause all sort of confusion and havoc in your life and in the lives of those you love. If you or anyone in your family have dabbled in these practices pray and repent, submit to God and ask for deliverance from the generational curses the bind you that is within your bloodline. Denounce all activity connected with the past, present, and future generations. Ask God for forgiveness and to cleanse you of all iniquity. God said that he would show mercy on thousands of them that love him and keep his commandments (Exodus 20:6). There is divine protection in obedience. Remember just like God is real: Satan/Lucifer is real, demons are real, the demonic realm is real, and witchcraft/sorcery is real. Evil is nothing to play with, that's why God warns his people not to entangle themselves and to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11). Divination- The practice or art of discovering hidden knowledge and foretelling future events: A medium of supernatural revelation i.e. Astrology.

Observer of times- The same as astrology or stargazing, it is another form of divination. It is a person who looks to the stars for guidance i.e. Horoscopes.

Enchanter-A magician or sorcerer, one who cast spells or bewitches.

Witch-a person who practices magic (black or white) and deals with spirits through spells i.e. Wicca.

Charmer-To put a spell on someone and to change things by the use of magic i.e. The chanting of a magical verse of formula or a use of an object.

Consulter with familiar spirits-One who inquires with spirits or contact the dead i.e. mediums, channeling, automatic writing, space brothers, ascending masters, Ouija boards, seances etc.

Wizard/Sorcerer-A male witch knowledgeable about the occult, who is in touch with spirits that uses magic to control others and nature

Necromancer- Those who contact the dead and/or communicate with dead through magic and foretelling

Esotericism- signifies the holding of esoteric opinions or beliefs, that is ideas preserved or understood by a small group of those specially initiated, or of rare or unusual interest. The term derives from the Greek, either from the comparative ἐσώτερος (esôteros), "inner", or from its derived adjective ἐσωτερικός (esôterikos), "pertaining to the innermost". The term can also refer to the academic study of esoteric religious movements and philosophies, or to the study of those religious movements and philosophies whose proponents distinguish their beliefs, practices, and experiences from mainstream exoteric and more dogmatic institutionalized traditions.

Although esotericism refers to an exploration of the hidden meanings and symbolism in various philosophical, historical, and religious texts, the texts themselves are often central to mainstream religions.

Truth….God speaks through his word and/or through people as a mouth pieces (preachers), prophets or individuals who give word of knowledge or wisdom. However some of these things that we are tapping into, that claim to be positive and from God aren't of God at all! Please stop immediately because you’re entertaining unclean spirits and/or demonic powers unaware.
